GOBLIN6 Year Three

Year three had more of a focus on streaming, something we neglected quite a bit during year two.

Earlier this year, August to be precise, we launched our updated stream overlay. Originally planned for an October release, I liked it so much that I thought it was best to showcase it immediately.

Thanks to everyone who has followed the site, thanks to every new person who discover the site as well. A huge thanks to everyone on our Twitch stream.

This year we will focus on building up the wiki and the image gallery.

Once again, thanks to everyone who has given GOBLIN6 a chance.

Oh and did I mention? This month for RAID MODE we are playing one of the greatest video games of all time.

Resident Evil Infinite Darkness announced

Capcom and Netflix have announced Resident Evil Infinite Darkness which will be coming to the streaming platform in 2021.

The trailer shows Claire Redfield exploring an abandoned cabin, and Leon S. Kennedy saving what appears to be a fellow agent from a zombie attack in the White House.

Resident Evil 8 Tokyo Game Show 2020

Capcom held a brief 30-minute presentation during their Tokyo Game Show live stream.

The segment featured a review of Trailer 2 and their first developer diary ( linked below ) titled “Welcome to the Village”.

The biggest surprise from the presentation came from Capcom revealing that they are “looking-into” bringing Resident Evil 8 to the current generation of consoles.

Capcom also announced “surprises” for the upcoming Resident Evil 25th anniversary (which is March 22nd 2021). They have also launched it’s official site.

Resident Evil Village trailer 2

Capcom has released the second trailer for Resident Evil Village.

The trailer showcases a bit more of the Village, not to mention the old lady who seems to roam around the village.

There are also some interesting scenes which showcase a family that appears to be “praying”, not to mention the stylized animation while Mia talks about the old village fairy tail.

RE4HD Knife scene comparison

Albert has updated his site with a full body of images comparing his update to the original Leon vs Krauser knife fight.

Here are some bullet points from his update:

All specular bloom effects from the knives were missing in the PC port. Now they are all restored… and it looks really impressive in motion!
Krauser’s right arm bent in a weird way after the second dodge. It was an animation issue. I’ve been able to fix it by editing a few vertices weights. (This entire cutscene is divided into 14 mini-cutscenes, every one of them has its own 3D models, so, I edited Krauser’s body just for that moment of the scene, the rest of the time his arm is ok)
Krauser’s glove’s wrist part is missing in the wounded version of his body!! I’ve brought back the missing part of the gloves.

RE4HD Chapter 5-2 update

There has been more progress on RE4HD.

Per Albert, some work went into updating lighting and enemy models. Here are some notes from his post:

Re-created and restored some textures.
A lot of small stage model edits.
New and improved stage shadows where needed.
Remastered Chapter End background image.
Remastered enemies textures and some slight 3D edits.

Resident Evil 8 announced

Resident Evil 8, officially known as Resident Evil Village, has been revealed by Capcom at Sony’s PlayStation 5 reveal event.

The trailer shows the return of Ethan Winters, as well as series (brooding) veteran Chris Redfield. In short, the game appears to channel Resident Evil 4’s (then) unknown village, castle-setting, and cult activity.

Nicholai and Nemesis join RE Resistance

Capcom has also added Nemesis to Resident Evil Resistance. Also of importance, RE3 Remake Director Kiyohiko Sakata has stated that the NE-α is actually based on Las Plagas from Resident Evil 4.

Most likely, all but confirming the upcoming release a a Resident Evil 4 remake. You can read the full article over on PlayStation Blog EU.

Starting on Friday, May 15th 2020, Resident Evil Resistance players will be able to play as their favorite scumbag Nicholai Ginovaef.

(I can’t wait to hear his lines about making money.)

The other Masterminds currently available are Daniel Fabron, Annette Birkin, Alex Wesker and Mr. Money himself Ozwell E. Spencer.

Resident Evil 4 remake next?

There have been “leaks” within the last couple of days suggesting that Resident Evil 4 is being remade.

Personally, Resident Evil 4 is really special to me. This will be an extremely interesting next couple of months, since I am sure the [possible] remake of Resident Evil 4 and the upcoming Resident Evil 8 will be the hot topics in the community.

Honestly, this is one that I wish would not be remade.
