Slant Six Games was an independent Canadian developer located in Vancouver, British Columbia. The most notable titles released by Slant Six feature a number of SOCOM games for Sony Computer Entertainment and Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City.

Following the success of the outsourced title Dead Rising 2, Capcom was looking to establish ongoing relationships with new Canadian developers. However, Slant Six’s only entry in the Resident Evil series underperformed tremendously.

Capcom enjoyed the development abilities of Blue Castle Games, which worked on Dead Rising 2. So much so, that Capcom acquired Blue Castle Games and re-named them Capcom Vancouver. Operation Raccoon City suffered many technical imperfections, thus dooming reception of the title on arrival.

Slant Six Games folded very shortly after the release of Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City, thus, only being in business for 8 years.

After the bad reception of Operation Raccoon City, Capcom officially stopped outsourcing the development of titles to Western Developers.
