tango gameworks
Tango Gameworks was founded on March 1st, 2010 by Shinji Mikami in Tokyo, Japan. The studio is comprised of a few ex capcom employees with whom Mikami had worked with closely on previous Resident Evil titles.
INFO
Tango Gameworks has released two titles, The Evil Within and its sequel The Evil Within 2. Originally, Tango had various concepts which they were looking to pursue, however, due to Mikami’s experience in the survival horror genre the team decided to focus on The Evil Within.
Mikami established the studio with the desire to nurture future game directors and allow them to realize their unique visions. This idea came to Mikami while working at Capcom, where he noticed that various individuals at Capcom were not receiving the opportunities which he believed they deserved.
Tango Gameworks currently uses the idTech engine developed by id Software. The engine has been modified by Tango’s engineers in order to fit their specific needs.
Due to Tango’s mix of veterans and talented newcomers, their projects feature a high benchmark in quality and presentation.
